Traffic Calming Recommendations Needed

This summer, the Pimmit Hills Citizens Association (PHCA) was informed by Fairfax County that three of our streets are eligible for inclusion in the county’s traffic calming program. Pimmit Drive, Lisle Avenue and Griffith Road are all eligible for traffic calming measures, which could include additional stop signs, additional signage, highlighted crosswalks, or cut-through restrictions.

The next Pimmit Hills Citizens Association (PHCA) meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:30 pm. The meeting, which is open to all homeowners and renters, takes place at the Pimmit Hills school on Lisle Avenue. Please join us!

Fairfax County to Host Free Recycling Events on July 24 & 25

Follow these tips to help beat the heat:

Drink plenty of fluids: Drink 2-4 glasses of cool fluids each hour.
Do not drink caffeinated or alcoholic beverages because they dehydrate the body.

Route 123 Closed at Beltway Weekend of June 12-13

All four lanes of Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) under the Beltway in Tysons Corner will be closed from 9:30 p.m. Friday, June 11 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 14 for bridge demolition, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Magarity Road Closing at Night May 19-21, 2010
